Simples....

The next phase of tailoring the Tiger to suit my long legs was to fit a new seat. Touratech advertise a 'comfort' seat; I wasn't too concerned about the comfort part as I don't do long trips, but what attracted me was the fact that the seat had two height settings, the higher of which is 20mm higher than the Triumph's higher setting. A quick swop over of the seat fittings and,,,yep, it's higher. My feet still touch the ground, but the knee angle has improved, Now I just need to get those lowered pegs fitted and I should be knee-pain proof.

    With this seat height my legs would likely dangle in the air... but for you it must be perfect.

    What distance do you consider a long trip?

      Sonja, You'd need a step ladder to get on Toger now!
      Long distances ... That's what you and Roland do! I've never ridden more than 300 miles in a day. I know, I'm a wimp!

      Well, never say never. If we can do it on a Vespa, it will be a piece of cake for you on a Tigger.

      Bob, I'm hoping to ride this corner of Europe, but the distances are so much larger than I'm used to in England. We'll see - but at least Ill be comfortable riding to work .

    Researching screens at this moment. That Screen you mentioned before certainly was ugly. The search continues....

      Suits me as it obscures my ugly mug! Useful in Germany with the forward photographing speed cameras, been there, done it, got the T icket

    Once you get those pegs lowered you'll be all set. You may not be planning any endurance rides, but being more comfortable will make any ride more enjoyable.

    We have a friend who used lower pegs on his older style Tiger and it made a big difference.

    T, you're absolutely right - first ride today showed an increase in comfort even on the short ride to work. Nothing worse than being all cramped-up on the bike.

    Glad your adjustments have worked out well ... I can't say I've ever had the 'legs cramped up on the bike' feeling, sometimes that can be a good thing, but other times it can be limiting. Enjoy the comfort - wherever you ride!
