Triumphs at the Ace cafe

Gave up my normal Sunday-morning lie-in today as there was a Triumph day at the Ace cafe and I wanted to beat the forecasted midday rain. Got there just after 9am, which meant no queues for the full English breakfast, mug of tea included. Eat to the sound of Gene Vincent on the jukebox, then went out for a stroll to look at the bikes. Then a quick blast around the North Circular before getting home early for lunch. Good morning out!

  1. Great photos - except for the 'Orrible 'Arley!

I love the Ace and have two very good memories of events there. One was doing the Brighton Burn Up with my daughter - magical! The other was when, one Saturday, I was there for brunch and suddenly a large, hairy Hell's Angel type appeared at the door and ordered everybody outside....it was Armistice Day and all the customers trooped outside to stand in silence for two minutes, and then to listen to a few words from a biking vicar. VERY moving.

    1. Affer, I don't go there as often as I should, given its proximity to me. Great place.

  2. Awesome. Now that is a great excuse to get up early. Well worth waking up early.

Love the custom paint on the Daytona. Very eye catching.

    1. Trobairitz, the Daytona had all manner of extras, I particularly liked the swingarm. My favourite however was the green/yellow bonnie with the fairing; passed a pleasant 10 mins chatting with the owner.

By the way, that was the veggie full breakfast I had!
