Another bright sunny (if a little chilly) morning, so I decided to ride over to Battlesbridge bike museum, which I'd spotted online while checking for biker-friendly destinations. It was smaller than I'd expected, basically just a wooden shed crammed with old bikes, signs & paraphernalia, but the guys working there were friendly, welcoming and happy to chat about old bikes all day. A great little place. I spent an hour or so there, had a coffee & cake in the cafe next door then rode home the long way back via Horndon & Bulphan. What a pleasant way to spend Sunday morning.

Lovely exhibits. Wouldn't it be nice to have a shed full of these gems?
ReplyDeleteSonja, it was more like a boys toys club than a museum, as you say, would be nice to have a shed full of old bikes to look at!
ReplyDeleteMotorcycles, coffee, cake, what's not to love. Sound like the perfect morning especially with blue sky.
ReplyDeleteIt's what Sundays were made for!
